So... right after I moved back in with my mom, I was doing laundry one Sunday. This is my usual day to do laundry, as I usually have nothing going on. I was down stairs listening to music, folding clothes and minding my own business. This semi decent looking man walks in and starts his laundry. I only caught a glimpse and since I'm actually pretty shy (no really... it's true) I didn't say "hi" or anything like that. I noticed him starting to shake what I later found out was his phone. I started laughing because... well... I think we've all been there with our phones.
"You know you spend $300 for a phone and you EXPECT it NOT to lock up." he said with a big smile.
"Android or iPhone?" I ask.
"Android... not the 'droid', but the same concept" he said with exaggerated quotations.
"Yeah, I have the google moment, since I'm still lame and have sprint..." I smile at him.
"I have sprint too, but I have the [insert name of current sprint android phone because I don't remember what they are called]... guess we both aren't cool enough to have verizon" He laughed.
"Yeah... I guess not." I said and smiled back again (think... 'grinning like a jackass')
I finished up my laundry and told him to have a nice day and he said "see ya around"... I mean, we do LIVE in the same apartment complex. I guess that's to be expected, right?
Well today I ran to the grocery store. We don't get a lot of groceries at once because we live on the 3rd floor and it's a million degrees outside. We make trips to the store every couple of days and get fresh food... since we live less than a mile from the store. Makes sense I guess. Anyway... I digress....
I am walking down next to the beer aisle and I hear...
"HHHEEEEY neighbor!" from a strange man's voice that I don't recognize.
"oh ... um... hi! How are you?" I ask with a thick southern accent... as I frequently do when I'm talking to someone I don't recognize... I don't know why... it's like a retarded backwoods defense mechanism, I guess.
"I'm good. How are you?" he says grinning from ear to ear.
"Good... Well... umm I will see you around" I smile.
"BYYYEE!" he practically has to yell at me as I scurry through the store.
"Who the fuck was that?" I think the myself... After wracking my brain for 20 minutes it dawns on me... He is LAUNDRY ROOM GUY! I felt like a huge dummy and I'm also certain that anyone could read through the look of non-recognition on my face.
Too bad he was kind of cute... in the nerdy, glasses wearing, probably works in IT, totally MY type way... Damn. Oh well.
This is a 365 day journey to becoming the person I want to be, and finding the person that I lost somewhere along the way.

Day #14: Slipped right away from me...
I spent most of today lounging around the house being lazy. I didn't even go work out because I was just too lazy. No way to sugar coat that. I ended up having to work tonight, which is fine because I need the money... I did however get a call about the Nurse Tech position I've been wanting. They need someone for days, which has its ups and downs for me. They are going to see whether or not they can switch me to nights, because if I have to work days, I won't get a day off at all. I'm sure that will be okay... until it just isn't anymore. Then I have a high likelihood of snapping from the stress.
So, I was parusing (is that a real word?...) facebook today, to find that my ex from 2 years ago (in NC) is married. I'm actually super happy for him. Things didn't end well for us, because... well... he's just a teeny bit crazy, but that's a story for another day. Anyway... I'm a curious person so I like to FB stalk people... I know... it's weird... and creepy.. and certifiably insane, but hey.... it's the summer and I don't have anything better to do... oh wait... except that pesky 400 pages to read in 2 weeks. Anyway... I'm happy for him. I think that says something about me right there... It isn't as if I thought there was any possibility that I would actually miss him, but it is nice to know that I have compassion for an ex. I knew I could... No really.. I did.
I also FB stalked my ex stepdad for my mom. Well... maybe not so much "for her", but again... curiousity. It cracks me up as to how little my mom understands about facebook. She hates the whole idea of it, and I understand her point of view on it. Anyway... my ex stepdad is married to this woman who literally looks like an extra out of Dallas. She's got the big hair and the fake-forced smile and everything. It make me laugh pretty hard. My mom was less than amused, but I reassured her that her boyfriend-"or whatever" is much nicer and better suited for her. (as we both have our suspicions that my ex stepdad is gay and has been hiding behind a beard for quite some time) I do not have a problem with gay men... just have a problem with them using women to hide their sexuality. Oh well.
Well... I don't really think that I have any more to add today. I am almost halfway done with my 400 pages... and I'm not doing terrible at the NCLEX style questions in the back of each chapter. That makes me happy. I need to review the objectives for what we need to know for our test, as well. I'm pretty much panic stricken because I've had yet another person tell me that an A in lecture is impossible. *cries*

Day #13: The Impending Doom...
Okay, so maybe I am being a bit melodramatic, but my best friend is getting married in February. I am so happy for her, so don't get me wrong about that. I am just a little nervous as to how I am going to feel when all is said and done. I love that she has found someone that makes her happy... it just bugs me that I am still alone. I know E wasn't the one, but I'm starting to think that there isn't one for me. Which is fine. There can't possibly be one person for everyone out there. I mean statistically there are more women than men... so clearly we can't all be paired off that way. I know you are thinking "well there are lesbians"... yes and there are also gay men... so that doesn't work either.
I am starting a holistic approach to eating. There is a holistic diet, that takes your blood type and tells you what foods you should eat, and what foods are detrimental to your health. My blood type is A+ which means I should be a vegetarian. I also can't have dairy or wheat. This all pretty much makes sense, as I have extreme digestive issues when I eat dairy or wheat. It also says that I can have tomatoes, which I don't like raw tomatoes, but I LOVE ketchup, tomato paste, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, etc. It says that tomatoes affect the acidity in my blood types stomach. I also can't have oranges, but I can have lemons, limes, and grapefruit... which I find to be slightly contradictory. I have done this diet plan before. This isn't really to be done to lose weight, so much as just become healthy. The theory is, that food that are eaten that are poisonous for your blood type will cause chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis, certain cancers, tumors, skin allergies, and digestive diseases.
As of right now, I am down 1 dress size, which is nice. I would ideally like to be down 3 more dress sizes before I have to go get my dress for my friends wedding. I would be satisfied with 2, but 3 would make me very, very giddy. I also need to work on my budget. I have been reading about my friend getting all of her financials in order. Well, other than that... I think my life is extremely boring right now. I need to read some more for my 400 pages of doom. :)

Day #12: Bad Dreams?
Okay... I have had a dream every night for the past 2 weeks about a long lost family friend of mine. We haven't spoken in going on 4 years. However, I have been in touch with his sister and other family members. Some of the dreams have just been us seeing each other, some have been us having intimate relations, and then several have been him getting in a really bad car accident.
The last time I dreamed about someone from my past this frequently, they also had a car accident in some of the dreams, and then ended up in a REALLY bad car accident. It's starting to freak me out really bad. It could also be just talking to some of his family members that I haven't talked to in just as long. I have always thought it was weird that he is the only one who doesn't have facebook. I guess I haven't really thought anything of it though. Not EVERYONE has facebook, right?
I don't know why I'm letting this bother me so much. I emailed his grandma today (but I have no idea when or if she ever checks her FB) and asked her if he was okay. It makes me seem kind of like a stalker... I'm well aware of that, but I'm genuinely worried at this point. I've never had such vivid dreams about someone unless something bad had happened to them.
Today has been super boring, but that's okay. It's Sunday after all. It is nice to have boring Sundays. I have been looking up hospitals that I would like to apply to when I get my RN. So far I have 145 ish hospitals in CA, NC, VA, KY, IN, CO, & NY. I think if I truly had my choice of where I would move, it would be back to NC, but just not Greensboro. I am thinking about moving to Western NC. That's where a lot of my family friends live and my best friend. I have always loved Western NC too. I'm fairly certain out of 145 hospitals... I should get a call back on at least 1 or 2. I really don't want to have to stay in Houston any longer than I have to. I am really over this place.
Well.... I guess that's all I really have to say right now. I would also like to add that, after the "letter" I wrote in yesterdays post... I finally feel at peace. I am happy for once. I am sure that the happiness will come & go, but I no longer have the energy to think about E anymore. That's a big step for me. It feels like I'm on the road to healing. Yay!

Day #11: Letter To E
Dear E,
There are so many things that I've wanted to say to you, but I feared that any little thing would set off your drinking. I won't send this now either, because I would've give you the satisfaction of it. I want to tell you that you will never amount to anything and that you are probably the most worthless human being that ever breathed on this earth.
You have spent your whole life blaming other people for your problems. You blamed your mother's death, your father marrying your step mom, your grandparents, me, your exes, everyone. It was never your fault that you drank... how could it be? You told me once that I wasn't good enough for you, and you were right... you are right. You aren't good enough for me, and you never would have been good enough for me.
I never really loved you, because you weren't worthy of my love. I told you I loved you, because I needed someone to help me pay the rent. I needed someone to hold me when I was sad or lonely. I needed someone to mow the lawn so I didn't have to. I needed someone to keep me warm when it was cold. Thinking back on it... I should've put an ad on craiglist for a roommate, sucked it up and mowed the lawn myself, gotten a dog like I had wanted to keep me warm or to cuddle up to when I was sad. You were and are 100% replaceable. You will never be good enough for anyone, because no one deserves an alcoholic, self-centered bastard such as yourself.
When I think about the "good" memories that we had together, I can honestly say that they are few and far between. The bad times vastly outweighed the good times, and any amount of happiness you made me feel, was soon crushed by the impending doom that is your drinking.
I have heard that you are three months sober. I don't believe it, not for a second. I also hear you have a new girlfriend. I pity her, I truly do. She has no idea what is in store for her, and I'm sure she is too dumb to listen to reason. Poor thing. She doesn't deserve to have to put up with you and your crap at the expense of her own self-worth. You are too selfish to be alone. You need to feed off someone else's energy and happiness and leave them with sadness and darkness.
Have a nice life, however short that is going to be. Your liver will give out on you in the next 10 years... you have soaked it in alcohol for too long. I feel sorry for your parents and your grandparents when this happens. You kill yourself with every ounce you drink and you don't care. You won't be satisfied until you drink yourself to death and I, for one, am very happy I won't be around to see that.
The. End.

Day #10: Should I be upset?
It's been 6 months since E and I broke up. Six. Months. I still rub my left ring finger, half expecting my engagement ring to be there. This really shouldn't be happening 6 months after breaking off the engagement. Part of my wants to go get an obviously NON engagement/NON wedding ring and wear it on that finger, but I don't want to use it as a crutch either.
I also just realized (and had a mini panic attack over) that my would've been wedding day is in a month and 12 days. This shouldn't hurt. I broke up with HIM... I CHOSE to leave. Why does this still bother me so much? I know it isn't that I miss him, it's that I miss someone. This is also why I refuse to get involved with anyone. The fact that I miss my ex, who for all intents and purposes, treated me like shit, tells me that something is clearly wrong. E was manipulative, emotionally draining, and abusive. There is no way around that. I know this. It is fact. Period.
I think seeing several of my friends getting married and knowing I was so close, scares me. It both stings, and sends a rush of relief over myself. Still... I guess I'm more in tune with the hurt, than I am with the relief.
Everytime I see a white truck that looks like E's drive by, my heart stops for a minute. When we were together, I used to tease him about having a doppleganger at the Kroger down the street... and guess who STILL works at the Kroger. CRAAAAP!
Well, I guess that's enough feeling sorry for myself. I guess I will go have a nice shower cry and get over it.

Day #9: Disorganized?
Okay... my mom has this joke about working for an airline that says, "It's a good thing we aren't in the business of hurling people in the air at 500 mph"... It's basically used in sarcasm to the amount of stupid people who work for the aviation industry. (I don't care to go into detail, because none of you would every fly again)
Anyway, I made up my own phrase... "It's a good thing we aren't in the business of saving people's lives". I mean this in total jest, as the hospital I work at is a really great hospital... they just seem to be REALLY disorganized when it comes to their float pool staff... aka, the department I work for. I am constantly getting calls that say I'm "on call" and then they turn around and 20-30 minutes before my shift would have started, they will call me in. You cannot possibly tell me that they don't know in advance that there is someone who will need a sitter in the ER. You know this... you just don't bother to communicate to one another. It's really frustrating, because you start doing other stuff, thinking for sure you won't be called in for a while, if at all... but no. I've even had one supervisor get mad (or seemingly so) because she called at 1830 and didn't understand that I couldn't get there by 1900 to make the beginning of the shift. I've gotten in the habit of wearing my scrubs from the time I take my shower when I get up, until the next morning. That way... I'm ready whenever they call. Just because they are unprepared, doesn't mean I have to be.
Well, that was quite the rant. For some reason, I am still incredibly tired, despite that I slept later than I normally do. I think it was because I was relaxing after I found out I was on call... and then I was pulled away from that. It bums me out. Haha. As ridiculous as that sounds.
I also had a frustration today with my school financial aid and business office. I got a call yesterday stating that if I didn't pay my tuition by Saturday that my classes would be dropped. Well... I had previously talked to the financial aid office, and they told me that the loan would set aside the amount for my tuition and pay it and then mail me a check for the rest, 30 days after school started. So... why would I be threatened with my classes to be dropped?
So, I try calling school and couldn't get through, so I go up there to find that the phone and computer lines had been cut.... so I asked the girl at the business office why I got the call and she said that she couldn't help because she can't look to see if my loan was accepted (I later found out it was)... so she sent me to the business office who told me that they couldn't help me either, but that I could go to another campus that is an HOUR away. So at this point... I'm FUMING mad.
"Don't you think that's a little absurd for you to ask your students to drive an hour away to check on this?" I say... obviously pissed.
"Well, Hun... no one else has seemed to have a problem with it, but you." He replied back.
"Don't call me 'Hun"... and I find that hard to believe... they probably just didn't bring it to your attention." I reply back.. shaking.
"Well... if it says accepted on the website then you have nothing to worry about, but if it says 'pending' then you need to come in and see why it wasn't accepted." He replied.
"That's all you needed to say... I can check that on my phone. Thank you for your help... I hope it didn't hurt." I retorted.
Jackass. How hard is it to inform people of that in the first freaking place? Anyway... it says accepted on the website, so I plan to try to call my campus tomorrow morning and if it doesn't go through, then I will run over to the Tomball campus, which is closer than the campus they tried to send me to. The only thing in my life that causes me to lose my grip on reality and stress me out beyond comprehension is school. Anything and everything to do with it stresses me out. This little incidence isn't giving me the warm fuzzies... at all.
Well.. until tomorrow. :)

Day #8: Go Veg!
So, I'm really starting to get into this vegetarian thing. I love how my mom still tries to cook me steak though. :) She's so cute, and so stubborn. I'm in search of some new recipes though. Today I made black bean, green chile sauce, cheese, and avocado burritos. THEY WERE SOOO GOOD! Thank god black beans are really filling, or I would've eaten like 8 of them.
Anyway, my diet habits and fitness habits are not the point of this blog, so I will move on.
I have been considering a trip back to the east coast over the Winter break. It all depends on whether or not I get the full time job here at work or not. Even if I do... if I can sit for my CNA test, I may go back to PRN. The only reason I don't want to work PRN is that I won't get tuition reimbursement or healthcare, which is kind of worth the pay cut.
I also received an automated call from school saying my tuition is due and I have until Saturday to pay it. I thought with the federal loans, that they just took it from that... so now I need to go figure out why they are calling me instead of taking it out of my financial aid. Maybe it is just standard to everyone... who knows! I've never done this before, so I don't know how it is supposed to work.
Along with the stress of having to pay for school, I'm under the added stress of having to deal with all of this reading for my lecture class. I feel like crying, constantly... just thinking about all of the work that I'm about to take on. I know I can handle it, but I start thinking about the "what if"s and my anxiety goes from a 7 (normal for me) to a 30 (out of 10). I put far more pressure on myself than I should. I'm a perfectionist, and I let a lot of those habits slip when I was with E... so now I need to releard how to do all of this stuff. I need to relearn how to push myself harder than I have been.
Well... today was pretty boring. *yawn* If you fell asleep during this... wake up now, and go about your life. :)

Day #7: One Week... Already?
I am finishing up putting the music I took off Courtney's iTunes last weekend. I forgot what memories The Postal Service brought back. It's amazing that after... 5 years? I still can remember everything about Jon. J and I used to listen to The Postal Service during.... some intimate moments... I guess you could call it.
I remember how blue his eyes were, and the way he would look at me when he told me he loved me. He was my first love, perhaps the only love I've ever really had. I was 18, so young, so dumb, and so incredibly stubborn with him. J was, and to my knowledge still is, bipolar. Not in that "oh my god are you bipolar? hahahaha" way, but in the actual manic for days, depressed for months way.
We first met when I was 17. My mom had just moved to Dulles, VA and I knew inevitably I would also have to move, so I went in search of friends on myspace. (yeah... remember myspace? wow) I found Jon and we seemingly hit it off pretty well, but when we met on a visit I took to Virginia, things didn't really go that well. He didn't seem interested in me at all, and that really hurt. Since I was not living there yet, he decided to go ahead and date a girl who was local, which looking back on it... made perfect sense.
I finally moved to NOVA (Northern VA) the summer before my 18th birthday. I wasn't exactly excited about moving 1600 miles from all of my friends, and my home, but I adjusted. I met a Marine, named R, that I enjoyed spending time with. That being said, neither of us really wanted to get involved seriously because of the risk of him going to Iraq. It was upsetting, but I just couldn't allow myself to get attached. Soon after R went home for Christmas leave, J and I started talking again. Things were different and I agreed to hang out with him and go out to dinner with him. Mind you, R and I were never in a proclaimed relationship, so no... I never felt like I was cheating on him... at least not at that particular time. Looking back on it, that's exactly what I did... and it took a while for me to forgive myself for that.
J and I went out to dinner and soon after found that we truly had feeling for each other. I let R know, and I moved on with little thought to R. Looking back, it was probably the rudest thing I ever did, but I just didn't see staying with someone who refused to let me in and passing up the chance for someone who I could potentially share my life with. That was it... by New Years I knew I had fallen in love, and so did he.
He later told me that he did really like me on our first date, the year before, but that he chose the girl who was local, because she was local. If I had lived there, it would have been no contest. He said he didn't think that I would ever actually move there, and he didn't think he would have been able to stand living that far from me.
So now, everytime I hear the lead singer of The Postal Service sing... my mind floats back to 5 years ago. A time when I was seemingly at my happiest, until I just wasn't anymore. J is the only man I've ever let in completely. I would like to think he won't be the only one, but I can't be sure. Not now. He knew my every move before I made it. The crook of his arm seemed to be made for me to fit into it. I've yet to find that again, but maybe I should be more optimistic.
Well, we have 51 weeks left, and 348 days. It will go by pretty fast, I'm afraid.

Day #6: How Will I Make It Out Alive?
I just received yet another email about what is going to happen in our first 2 weeks of nursing school. As it is, I'm so stressed/tired/hot that anytime I sit down to eat, my stomach flips and I can't get down more than a couple of bites. I've always been a stress eater, so this is an interesting change. If this keeps up, I will drop 15 lbs before school starts in 3 weeks.
We have to read 400 pages by the time school starts. I haven't even read 200 pages yet. I am trying to finish up everything in my Medical Terminology class before I get myself confused/side tracked with other stuff. I am hoping to finish up everything in MedTerm tonight at work, and just be waiting on the final. Then tomorrow I will start reading for lecture. We were given a list of objectives to be able to answer. I can sort of answer one of them... which makes me panic.
I think this semester is going to make me cry... a lot. I want to be in the top of my class, but in order to do that, I'm going to have to buckle down like I never have before. If I make it out of nursing school alive, I'm going to take the BIGGEST trip of my life. I think that will be a very nice reward, indeed.
On day #2 you will remember my super emotional post. Well, I'm back sitting with the same girl. Her mom is worried about her heart rate, so she opted for them to stay for another night. I am glad to see her awake and attentive. I knew she would be fine, physically. I just hope she really does get help for her psychological issues. That being said, it should also be a pretty easy night tonight. I should be able to get a lot of homework done and start outlining these objectives. I really wish I had brought that book with me, but I couldn't carry all of that without pulling a muscle in my back.
I also went and worked out today for the first time since the beginning of summer. Anyone who lives in Texas, knows how insanely hot it is here in the summer. I just have had a severe lack of motivation for going out in this heat unless I have to. I went and worked out at school, since mom bailed on me for the Y. The school was nearly empty, which is how I prefer to work out. I'm trying to talk mom into dropping her Y membership and buying a membership at the school gym. It's just $25/semester for her since she is now 55. I don't think you can get much cheaper than that. She's just bummed that they don't have a whirlpool. That makes me laugh, because my mom despises water, unless it's like <4" deep.
Well, that's all of the ramblings I can muster in one day. I will be happy when 7am rolls around and I can get to sleep.

Day #5: Texas is TOO Hot
Today was just ridiculously hot! I went to my godmothers and her sister left the feeding chores to me (not supposed to be my job). I was litterally pouring sweat off of my body, because it was noon and the hottest part of the day. Then I got stuck making a huge Walmart run.
I went to see a friend and swim at the place she is house sitting. The pool was so nice. I haven't really gone swimming much this summer, which I guess is probably because I'm not happy with my body. That is something I am also going to work on while I'm in the process of changing other things in my life.
I got some unfortunate news today, that an old friend of mine said some less than stellar things about me. I've never had anything bad to say about her, so I was really blind sided about this. Needless to say, I am extremely hurt by what she said. Especially since we really haven't been close in many years... which I didn't think anything of. As we grow up, a lot of us will grow apart. That's a natural part of life, or so I thought. Apparently she attributes us growing apart to me being a co-dependent, self-absorbed brat.
Unfortunately, I can't say that she is totally wrong, which is probably why it hurts so bad. I haven't been the best friend in the past year and a half. However, she and I haven't really been close friends in.... 2 or 3 years. She lived 4 hours away, and we really stopped having anything in common. I guess I wonder how many of my friends feel the same way she does. I can't really blame any of them for feeling like I ditched them. I did. I ditched them, my family, and myself. All for a guy who drained me physically, emotionally, and mentally. A man I thought I loved, and I thought loved me.
I guess it hurt more because, instead of bringing this up to me, she said it to someone neither one of us has ever met. He's just a facebook friend. Who knows if I will ever meet this guy. He's been a pretty decent friend that I feel like I can talk to. He was really mad about the whole thing, because he feels like she was just starting drama and nonsense. I'm not sure what happened, I'm really not. If it had been a closer friend, I could have DEFINITELY seen where they would have a stance for saying something like that, but she isn't that close of a friend anymore.
I guess she's not a friend at all.... Oh well.

Day #4: Sick Pup :(
My mom and I raise chickens with my godmother, but they are on my godmother's property. We went out there today, because my godmother is out of town, and we wanted to check on everything and make sure her sister was okay. My godmother's sister has some mental health issues, but is probably one of the most genuinely sweet people I know. Luckily, we got the wild hair up our asses to go out there, because the male german shepherd, Zeb, has a tumor on his knee.
We spent 3 hours at the vet, to find out that the mass needs to be removed and they do not know if it is benign or malignant. He was in quite a bit of pain, and had to be sent home with a collar to keep him from messing with the open sore. I also found out that this 85lbs beast, doesn't care for other dogs his size... especially pit bulls. I am not sure if it was that he didn't LIKE them... or just didn't feel good and was warning them not to mess with him. Either way, I've never seen this dog show his teeth until today.
He seems to be doing better, and I am going to go check on him tomorrow just for my own peace of mind.
Other than that, today has been significantly uneventful. Texas is dreadful this time of year, and all you really want to do during the day, is stay inside and sleep. When you walk outside, it literally takes your breath away. I have also noticed that I haven't particularly wanted to eat, and I think that has to do with the heat too. I've been fine with salads, and fruit, but anything heavier, after 3 bites, I'm done. I guess that's good for not gaining any more weight.
I am happy that I am almost done with my Medical Terminology course and I am about to start my real courses at the end of the month. I talked with my mom today about taking a photography course next semester. She thinks that I will be really good at it, so in the meantime I am going to look for a decent cheaper 35 mm camera. That's all it says that you need, but I may email the prof and ask him/her what they prefer that you use. I know I won't be buying a $600+ camera any time soon, but I think eventually I may really get into it. I can see it being another outlet for me. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of things that most people wouldn't look twice at.
My mom asked me today what I want to do for my birthday/the weekend I would've been getting married. I told her that I didn't really know. She asked me if I wanted to do a party. I am thinking about it. Maybe something like a "thank God I didn't marry that asshole/Happy 23rd Birthday party to me" thing. I know one thing, I want to be so drunk that I can't find my feet. I think after all of the times I put up with him obliterated, I can do this for myself.
Until next time. :)

Day #3: Bad Dreams Can Lead To Good Things
Well, I guess all of the emotions that I was feeling last night, left me having a TERRIBLE dream. I dreamt that my grandma was still alive, and that I ended up marrying E after all. It was so real, that it was surreal. I woke up this morning, halfway expecting to see a ring on my finger. Thankfully, no ring, but definitely not the way I had wanted to start my weekend.
Anyway, I got up and washed the dishes before our POS apartment turns off the water for the umpteenth time this summer. I also went and grabbed my pathetic excuse for a paycheck and grabbed boxes. Tomorrow I will be going through my storage area and sorting through the stuff I want to keep, the stuff that can be donated, and the stuff that I need to throw away. I'm spending $74 a month on storage, and I can easily cut that in half or close to it, if I just get rid of the junk I do not need.
My mom and I are also running to JCP to get some workout stuff. We have 30% off in coupons, plus $15 off $75 and it's doorbusters. I'm pretty sure that my mom is going to go crazy in there.
All in all, I'm feeling pretty good today. Good enough to share a funny story about one of the first guys I dated after E and I broke up. I met him off of a dating website (yes, I do know how pathetic that comes off) and he seemed nice enough. I am not sure that I was really looking for anything, or maybe I was just trying to fill a void. Who knows? So, we sit down to eat and talk and he drops the BOMB. He is 30 (if my memory serves me right) and he informs me that he needs to get married and have children by the time he is 35. I really didn't know what to say... but I am a curious person, so I felt like indulging my curiousities. I asked him why there was such a desperation for this. He informs me that he is going to die when he is 37, and he needs to have a family before then. WAIT.... back up... WHAT? So, being the medically driven person that I am, I ask if he has some sort of medical disorder or disease that is going to cause this. No... negatory. 7 years ago, this man used a ouija board..and it informed him that he would die when he is 37. REALLLLLLY?
Now I'm sure everyone reading this (if anyone is reading this) has seen the movies where the couple is on a date and one of them says something weird. I refer to this as the "check please" moment. I had that moment right then and there. I hope that brightened someone else's day... because it makes me giggle everytime I think about it.
